Who we are
Lakhani Investment is a family-run business in Rajula, Gujarat. We help families invest in mutual funds and buy insurance.
- Name: Hardik Bharatbhai Lakhani
- Registration: AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor
- ARN: ARN-94806
- Initial registration: 11 February 2014
- Valid until: 11 February 2029
You can check our ARN on the AMFI website. We follow the AMFI Code of Conduct for mutual fund distributors. It asks us to put your interests first, give you full and honest information about schemes and their costs, disclose our commission, and keep your details confidential.
How we’re paid
- We deal only in Regular Plans of mutual funds.
- For Regular Plans, the AMC pays us a trail commission. This commission is part of the scheme’s total expense ratio (TER).
- Commission rates vary from one AMC to another, and across scheme categories such as equity, debt and hybrid.
- We disclose the commission to you at the time of investment.
- Each scheme also has a Direct Plan. It has a lower expense ratio because no distributor commission is paid. We don’t earn commission on Direct Plans, so we don’t deal in them. You can invest in a Direct Plan on your own, directly with the AMC.
Insurance
We also offer term life and health insurance, as per the terms and conditions of the respective insurers. The insurer decides the premium, the cover, what is excluded, and claim settlement. Please read the policy documents carefully before you buy.
Risk factors
- Mutual fund schemes don’t assure or guarantee any returns. The value of your investment can go up or down.
- Past performance may or may not be sustained in future.
- Check a scheme’s exit load and costs (its total expense ratio, or TER) before you invest.
Scheme documents
Before you invest, read the scheme’s Scheme Information Document (SID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM), and the AMC’s Statement of Additional Information (SAI). They are available on each AMC’s website and on SEBI’s website. If you need help finding them, ask us.
